Money you're owed,
don't let it slip away.
Money you lent, rent in arrears, invoices nobody paid. Add what you're owed, and get the one thing to do now. Complicated steps made simple, the next step made clear.
From working out exactly what you're owed, to a reminder letter, a formal letter, and what comes after. The name comes from 미수 (misu), Korean for money not yet received. Miss Check is in closed beta in Korea.

Ask for payment
Start by telling them clearly when you need to be paid by.
- Reminder letter written for you: free
- Read it before it goes
- If they pay, the case closes
Still not paid? Next we look at a formal letter, then the court route.
A few questions, and it's organized
Upload a contract or a chat screenshot and the amounts, dates and numbers are filled in for you. Stop halfway and it's saved, so you can pick up anytime.
How much are you owed?
Type the amount, or upload screenshots of the contract, messages or e-mails. Those pictures can become evidence later.
What money, and from whom?
Rent, a loan, a building job, goods you delivered. Pick as many as apply. A name is enough to start.
What's happened so far?
From "I haven't asked yet" to "I've been to court", pick one and the next step appears right away.
The next step depends on where you are
No list of ten options. Checkio looks at the facts and picks the one most fitting next move.
You don't always have to send a formal letter before going to court, and if a time limit is close, acting sooner matters. Miss Check doesn't give legal advice. It organizes the steps from the facts you enter. In the beta, court steps follow Korean procedure.
Seen through to the end
It doesn't stop at writing a letter. Each case has one progress screen until you're paid.

- Checkio spots the paymentWhen money arrives under their name, Checkio asks "Is this for this case?" Fully paid, and the case closes on its own.
- Check dates on your calendarThe reminder deadline, the day they promised, court deadlines. When the day comes, the next step is picked again.

- One page for a professionalWhat's owed, what's been done, what's been received and a list of your evidence, as one PDF. No need to explain from scratch.

What Miss Check never does
Promises that let both sides trust us.
Got a message from Miss Check? Checkio sent it on behalf of the person you owe. Here's how to check it's real.
About the closed beta
We're refining Miss Check with a few owners in Korea who are waiting to be paid.
- Free. Use it and tell us what's inconvenient.
- Works on phone or computer, nothing to install. If you use Rent Check, it continues right from the late-rent screen.
- During the beta, a staff member checks each formal letter before it's posted.
- Each owner's data is stored separately on servers in our office in Korea. Photos you upload are used only for that case.
- Letter wording is being reviewed by a lawyer. Please read every letter before sending.
Questions
Is Miss Check a legal service?
No. It's a tool that organizes the next step, the paperwork and the costs from the facts you enter. It doesn't replace legal advice, and for big disputes it suggests talking to a lawyer or accountant. We never take referral fees.
Does it collect the money for me?
No. Money always goes straight to your account. Miss Check helps you write letters in your name, send them, and check whether payment arrived. It never calls or visits the other person.
Do I have to send a formal letter first?
Not always. Depending on where you are, you may be able to go to court directly. A formal letter leaves a record that you officially asked, and in some places it affects deadlines, so it's usually worth sending first. Miss Check suggests which comes first in your situation.
Can I still get paid for an old debt?
Every kind of money has a time limit for claiming it, and it differs by country and by type. When one may be close, Miss Check suggests acting sooner and checking with a professional.
How is this different from Rent Check?
Rent Check tracks money that's due each month from your leases. Miss Check follows money that's already unpaid, until it's paid. They're the same app: tap "Start getting paid" on Rent Check's late-rent screen and it continues in Miss Check with nothing to retype.
Why "Miss Check"?
미수 (misu) is Korean for money you haven't received yet. Miss Check sounds just like it, and makes sure money you might otherwise miss gets checked off.
